Let's Talk

Since the creation of its construction division, Broadway National has completed construction projects for various clients spanning many different industries. These projects have ranged from multi-site retail renovations to entire workplace fit outs, such as the job Peloton approached us with.

Objective

Peloton requested our assistance with a commercial space fit-out at their location in Armonk, NY. When they first contacted us, they did not have any construction drawings and were looking for our team to formulate a plan for the build-out. Our team started by conducting multiple site walk-throughs to get an understanding of what Peloton wanted as well as what was realistically achievable within the existing space. After speaking with their team and gathering information about the layout of their space, the scope of the project began to change.

Adapting to Change

After surveying the site, our team identified an opportunity to renovate other aspects of their facility that would allow them to utilize their space more efficiently.  What started as a commercial space fit-out became a large-scale renovation to improve the functionality of the entire location. By conducting “discovery” conversations with Peloton’s team, we were able to formulate a plan that would upgrade their facility’s office space, while also improving their warehouse, restrooms, and breakroom.

The Process

The project was staffed with a superintendent responsible for managing the construction schedule and design plans. To assist with budget management, multiple off-site project managers were involved in the project as well. Throughout the course of the project, we utilized virtual site meetings and walkthroughs to keep all parties up to date on progress, even when they could not be there in person.

Results

The warehouse renovations included a lighting package equipped with over 300 new fixtures equipped with vacancy shut off programming and a cloud-based operating system. This cloud-based system allowed the facility manager to operate the lights from his smartphone, helping Peloton save money on energy costs. The light fixtures our team added were also programmed to turn off after an area was vacant for a set amount of time, further cutting the energy costs of the facility. To complete the warehouse renovation, our team installed a new racking system for inventory storage. The office space renovation included new underground plumbing infrastructure paired with updated bathrooms with ceramic floors and walk-in showers.

The project was completed on time and within Peloton’s budget, resulting in a very satisfied Broadway National client. Result images available here.
